Stop signs to temporarily replace Glenwood Ave. traffic lights
Drivers may not find traffic lights at two busy intersections in Youngstown when work begins next week on a quarter-of-a-million dollar traffic signal improvement project in the area of Glenwood Avenue and Canfield Road.
Youngstown Deputy Director of Public Works Charles Sasho tells 21 News that crews are scheduled Monday to start a three to four-week project to upgrade signals along Glenwood Avenue at the intersections of Canfield Road and Indianola Avenue.
During that time, drivers will find stop signs at both intersections when the stoplights are not operational.
Traffic signals at only one intersection will be out of service at any given time, according to the city.
Sasho is asking drivers to be extra careful when driving through the area.
