MESOPOTAMIA TWP., Ohio - A 54-year-old Mesopotamia man remains in the Trumbull County Jail without bound charged with child rape.

Daniel Kurtz waived Tuesday's hearing in Newton Falls Municipal Court on charges of rape and gross sexual imposition. 

The case was bound over to the Trumbull County Grand Jury for consideration, and Kurtz was denied bond.

Kurtz has been held in jail on a $150,000 bond since sheriff's deputies arrested him on Wednesday.

Trumbull County Sheriff's investigators have not yet revealed the age of the two alleged victims.
