KENT, Ohio - Kent State University Police have arrested a Newton Falls man accused of pulling down the pants and underwear of a KSU student as she walked near a fitness track at the university's main campus.

Christopher Eugene Clark, age 21, of Newton Falls, was booked into the Portage County Jail Tuesday.

According to police, a female student was walking on the west side of the fitness track behind DeWeese Health Center at around 10 a.m. Tuesday when a man walked up to her and pulled her lower garments down. The victim fell during the confrontation, suffering minor scrapes and bruises.

The suspect then ran away toward Loop Road and East Summit Street.

Using a description provided by the victim, Police arrested Clark later that day.

Clark faces arraignment on charges of gross sexual imposition, assault, and obstructing official business.

Police say Clark is not a KSU student.
