Civilians who helped save a Cortland Police Officer honored
Several civilians who stepped up to help save a Cortland Police Officer's life were honored tonight.
In September, Officer Nicholas Mancini suffered a heart attack while driving his police cruiser and ran into a ditch.
Mark Carns, James Betts, Kaitlyn Brawn, Kelly Brown, and Chris Berrickman all jumped in to help, and tonight, all were all recognized by city council.
Mancini's fellow officers and local paramedics also were recognized for their quick actions.
Mancini is recovering at home.
