Senior Aleah Hughes had a match-high 12 kills as the Youngstown State volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at Green Bay on Friday evening. The set scores were 25-17, 28-26, 25-19.

Hughes posted 12 of the Penguins' 33 kills and registered a .256 attack percentage. Brooklen Pe'a was a kill shy of a double-double with nine kills and 12 digs, and Margaux Thompson matched Pe'a in the digs column with 12. Libbie Darlinig had 28 assists, and Erin Kalahar posted four blocks.

Taylor Wolf had 11 kills and 10 digs to lead Green Bay, which had 12 more kills in the match than the Penguins.

Green Bay scored six of the first seven points and the final four points of the first set to take a 1-0 lead in the match. Youngstown State led for most of the second set, and it led by seven three different times late. A Pe'a kill put the Penguins ahead 21-14, and she had another kill to make the score 23-19. Green Bay scored the five points to go up 24-23, and Wolf's kill allowed the Phoenix to take the set on their fourth opportunity. Green Bay went on an 11-1 run in the third set to turn a 5-3 deficit into a 14-6 lead.

Youngstown State will play its final two matches of the season at Beeghly Center next week. The Penguins will host Wright State on Nov. 15 at 6 p.m., and Senior Day will be on Nov. 16 versus Northern Kentucky at 4 p.m.
