Slow Cooker Beef Ziti

1 lb. ground beef

1 onion, chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. dried basil

1 tsp. dried parsley

1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning

1 (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes

1 (20 oz.) jar pasta sauce

2 1/2 cups water

1 (1 lb.) box ziti pasta

1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add ground beef, onion, garlic and salt. Cook until browned. Drain excess grease, then transfer to slow cooker.

To slow cooker, add basil, parsley, Italian seasoning, tomatoes, pasta sauce and water. Stir, cover and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3 hours.

Turn slow cooker to high (if not already) and stir in pasta. Cover and cook for 15 to 30 minutes, until pasta is cooked. Top with cheese, cover and cook 3 minutes, until cheese is melted.
