BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating after a truck pulled down traffic lights and power lines along Market Street near Western Reserve Road in Boardman, shutting down the roads for more than three-and-a-half hours.

A caller told dispatchers that a garbage truck pulled down a traffic light at Market Street and Western Reserve Road shortly before 8 am on Thursday.

Troopers say a roll-off truck left the Sheetz station at Market and Western Reserve Road with it's boom still in the "up" position.

The truck pulled down a traffic light at Market and Western Reserve, and a caution light at Market Street and McClurg Road, where the truck stopped.

The driver, Adonus Nickerson of Warren has been cited for having an unsecured load.

Market Street was closed from Western Reserve Road to McClurg until 11:30 a.m.

Western Reserve Road was also shut down between Glenwood Avenue and Southern Boulevard.
