Red Cross helping after fire races through Girard home
Investigators are looking for the cause of a fire that caused extensive damage to the interior of a Girard home.
Firefighters were first told that someone might be inside the home on East Liberty Street that caught fire at around 10 p.m. Monday.
The first crew on the scene soon discovered that no one was inside the home and managed to put out the fire quickly.
No one was injured by the fire, which investigators believe may have started in a bedroom.
The Red Cross was contacted to help the resident find shelter, clothing, and any other needs.
