DeWine says parents should seek alternatives to daycare

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio Governor Mike DeWine spoke today along with the Lt. Governor and medical administrators letting people know that meals will continue for children who need it through the state.
Schools will work out their procedures on how to deliver those lunches and possibly, breakfasts.
He went on to add that there are no exceptions to the mandated closure of schools. He said that school districts would mix both online learning and paper packets to keep students learning.
As for daycares, he says the state is not closing daycares right now, but they may soon.
Governor DeWine said, "They pose a unique risk, but people need to start thinking of alternatives."
Dr. Amy Acton, the director of the Ohio Department of Health, said that children are amplifiers and can carry the virus but don't get sick as much.
Both agreed this is a work in progress and continually evolving.
