The Trumbull County Fair has been canceled this year.

The decision was made by the Trumbull County Fair Board Thursday evening. 

Fair Board President, Bud Rogers said there were a number of factors for canceling, including no guidelines from Governor DeWine on guidance and safety protocols for fairs.

He said they were also running out of time with 4H kids and their projects, not to mention all the extra money it was going to cost to sanitize and stay safe.

Social distancing and getting people in and out of the fair was the main concern.

He does say if the governor comes out with guidelines for the fair board the decision could be reversed.

The fair was scheduled to take place July 6 through 12. 

The 2020 Junior Fair has also been canceled.
