BROOKFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A Brookfield man and his brother are lucky to be alive after a tree fell on their car Thursday morning.
It happened on Collar Price Road just north of Route 82 around 11:30 a.m. when the man said he and his brother were driving home and saw a rotted out tree coming down.
He told our 21 News crew that the tree started to bend and he no time to react.
The tree then struck the Subaru Forester, damaging the windshield, sunroof and hood.
The driver said he didn't know what to do, so he just backed up to get out of harm's way.
Neither he or his brother were injured.
He said the tree had nothing to do with Wednesday night's storms and was already rotted out.
