Phantom Fireworks mandates mask-wearing at Ohio locations

Fireworks are a staple during the summer, especially as we gear up for Independence Day. While it's now not uncommon to see masks while shopping, if you plan on purchasing fireworks from a Phantom location, it'll be mandatory you're wearing one.
"We are going to be pretty strict about it. We feel like we have an obligation to our customers and our employees," says Bill Weimer, Vice President and general counsel for Phantom Fireworks.
The CDC and Ohio Department of Health have laid out guidelines for wearing masks stating Face coverings are strongly recommended for people who can safely wear them. Those with certain health conditions are exempt. Face coverings should never be worn on certain age groups or those with certain health conditions.
"This is not a political issue, this is a health issue. We are very concerned about our team members and all of our customers and vendors who come in," adds Weimer.
Weimer says locations will require a mask when you walk in and will also have masks for those that didn't bring one. Occupancy will be reduced, social distancing markers will be in place and curbside pick up has now been made available. Phantom Fireworks has made an online store available for orders, you can also call into a showroom or even show up to place an order, or even select the items from your car and an associate will shop for you.
The shoppers I spoke to here at the Meridian Road Phantom Fireworks location said they appreciated the new policies Phantom fireworks put in place and they feel a little more comfortable while they went around the showroom shopping for fireworks.
