LISBON, Ohio - People driving through Columbiana County may encounter road work crews during the coming months.

The Ohio Department of Transportation says several construction projects are underway.

Work began this week to resurface three miles of U.S. Route 30 from State Route 7/State Route 267 to State Route 170. During this work, one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction. ODOT says the project should be finished by late October.

Several Columbiana County roads are being resurfaced including State Route 45 in Salem from Township Road 410 to U.S. Route 62, SR 558 from SR 45 to SR 517, and SR 9 from the Carroll/Columbiana County line to U.S. Route 30. Completion of the work is scheduled for November 30, 2020.

A safety project in East Palestine includes the installation of pavement markings, traffic signal upgrades, and pedestrian signal upgrades. Traffic maintained via flaggers when necessary. The work should be finished this fall.
