Rettig reappointed to post by Gov. DeWine

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has reappointed Jon W. Rettig, Sr. of Columbiana to the Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors for a term that will end on June 30, 2025.
Rettig was first appointed to this post by Ohio Gov. John Kasich in 2016.
Rettig is originally from Holgate, Ohio, and graduated in 1976 from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in Cincinnati. He is an Ohio licensed funeral home director and embalmer since 1977.
He is the president of Family Care Services, which owns and operates Woods-Rettig Funeral Home in Leetonia, Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home in Columbiana, Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home in East Palestine and Family Care Cremation Services in Columbiana. In 2014 he was certified as a certified crematory operator.
