SOUTH BEAVER, Pa - Two bodies found inside a burning home in Pennsylvania have been identified as two teens from Columbiana County.

State Police in Beaver County say they have been asked to resume the investigation into the deaths of two 17-year-olds, a boy from Negley, and a girl from Wellsville.

Although a news release from police does not give the names of the teens, an obituary identifies one of the victims as Leah Lowther.

21 News has learned that the boy was a student at East Palestine High School.

The fire broke out early on the morning of August 25, 2020, at a home Old Blackhawk Road in South Beaver Township.

Township police and fire departments called a state fire marshal to investigate the cause of the fire, which is still undetermined.
