The Warren community came out to remember a beloved firefighter who passed away after suffering complications from coronavirus.

The calling hours for Lieutenant Don Beauchene were underway tonight at North Mar Church on East Market Street.

The 54-year-old passed away last Tuesday, one week after being diagnosed with the virus.

He was a father, husband, and grandfather who lived his life to help others.

John Jerina, President of the Local 204 Union of Warren Fire Department said, "I HAVE MIXED EMOTIONS. VERY SOMBER BUT WE'RE DONG THE BEST THING WE CAN FOR HIM AND HIS FAMILY, AND THERE'S NO OTHER WAY OF PUTTING IT. HE GAVE HIS ALL. HE HAD A HEART OF GOLD."

Calling hours will resume again tomorrow from 10 A.m. to 11 A.m.
