Youngstown family pleads for answers after fatal hit-skip

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -
There was a fatal hit and run on Youngstown's east side, Friday night. Now, the family of 59 year-old Bert Pritchard is offering a one-thousand dollar reward and begging anyone with information to come forward.
"It's heartbreaking, how could you hit somebody. Oh Jesus, and just leave him there," cried Loretta Pritchard, as she spoke about her brother's death. "And not even call the police, or an ambulance or just wait until somebody came. I mean he might have still passed on but you don't just hit somebody and leave him there."
City officials say they are not releasing a vehicle description at this point. But, it appears Pritchard was struck in the area of Cassius Avenue and McGuffy Road and then drug two streets over to N. Garland.
"I think he was walking and somebody hit him from the back and drug his body," said Pritchard.
"I want to know, I want to know - they drug him so far, you knew he was in the car, you still drove your car," said Niece Shanita McGraw.
The family is offering a one-thousand dollar reward for justice.
"Because he was loved, he was somebody, he was a father, he was a brother, he was somebody," said Pritchard.
And the family has a message to whoever is responsible.
"Turn yourself in, you've got to have kids, a father, you got to have a brother, even have a mother. Everybody loves somebody, just turn yourself in," said Prtichard.
