Youngstown Lions keep holiday merry for 94 YCSD students

YOUNGSTOWN - The Youngstown Lions Club provided Christmas gifts to 94 Youngstown City School District students with special needs.
In previous years, the Lions Club hosted a luncheon and each student would receive a gift from Santa Claus.
The coronavirus pandemic canceled this year's luncheon, but the Lions still wanted to give presents to the YCSD students.
Gifts were delivered this week to the schools and principals, supervisors and intervention specialists assisted with distributing them to the students.
"The Youngstown City School District is extremely grateful to the Lions Club for providing a little Christmas magic for these scholars," said Linda Yosay, YCSD's chief of student services. "Thank you also to the student services supervisors for their organization and to the principals and intervention specialists who helped make sure the scholars received their gifts."
