New Goodwill store opens in Greenville

There's a new Goodwill store that's opened its doors in Mercer County.
Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries has opened its tenth store and donation center at 25 Williamson Road in Greenville and experienced its most successful opening weekend in recent history.
“We are so humbled by the warm welcome we have received,” said Mark Goloja, Youngstown Area Goodwill CEO. “We appreciate the support that both the Greenville community and our customers have shown us.”
Goodwill Greenville features a donation center in addition to a substantial selection of clothing, housewares, furniture, shoes, accessories, books, media and more.
Goloja noted that the store saw an increase in new customers registering for Goodwill’s rewards program and even had existing customers travel to Greenville this past weekend.
The new location boasts 20,000 square feet of space, making it one of the largest in the Goodwill Youngstown network.
While new to Greenville, the non-profit’s retail presence stretches across five counties in Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania and operates primarily on donated goods.
The revenue generated from the sale of these goods directly supports Goodwill’s mission and workforce development programs and services.
In fact, Goodwill plans to bring some of these workforce initiatives to the Greenville site in the future.
“We look forward to eventually utilizing part of the space to further serve the area and provide valuable training and resources that some individuals may need to seek employment,” said Goloja. “For now, we are focused on the retail side, but are very optimistic about the potential.”
Goodwill Greenville is open Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
