Former PGA golfer and East Palestine resident Jerry McGee passed away this morning in Florida.

He recently moved there to be closer to his family and grandchildren.

McGee played on the PGA tour for many years and won four tournaments. He tied for fifth in the 1972 Masters and after leaving the regular tour he played on the senior tour in 1993.

McGee was a big supporter of Youngstown State athletics and high school basketball,

He was dealing with health issues the past several years.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time.,
