Penguin City Brewing Company continued its expansion across the state line.

The Youngstown-led beer company delivered its first shipment of beer to Erme's Distributing on North Hermitage Road in Hermitage.

Penguin City met with Erme's back in January and instantly signed the contract.

"This is a huge moment here at Penguin. We have worked extremely hard for the past two years to build our brand here in the Youngstown area and now it's time to start reaching other markets, and western P.A. is a perfect start," said Aspasia Lyras-Bernacki, the co-wwner of Penguin City Beer.

Penguin City Beer will now be distributed in Mercer, Lawrence, Crawford, Venango and Clarion Counties of Pennsylvania.

This comes as the company recently purchased 460 E. Federal Street in Downtown Youngstown, the former republic steel warehouse, and will be renovating it into a brewery, taproom and event center, which is slated to open in Fall of 2021.

Penguin City Beer is distributed in over 400 locations across the valley and now into western Pennsylvania.
