GIRARD, Ohio - A fifteen-year-old boy is under arrest after allegedly leading authorities on a chase from Sharon to Girard that exceeded 100 miles per hour.
Just after midnight early Thursday, Sharon police began pursuing a car that they say ran through five stop signs and almost ran over a pedestrian.
Sharon Police turned the chase over to Ohio authorities as speeds reached 110 miles per hour along Interstate 80 in Hubbard.
The car exited on Belmont Avenue and onto East Liberty Street.
The driver jumped out and ran away near Ward Avenue.
Police searched the area, bringing in a K9 tracking dog which led officers to a home about eight blocks away on Lawrence Avenue where the teen suspect was arrested.
