Portions of Fifth Avenue in Downtown Youngstown close for 30 days
Parts of Fifth Avenue in Downtown Youngstown will be closed starting Wednesday, April 28 for approximately 30 days.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Parts of Fifth Avenue in Downtown Youngstown will be closed starting Wednesday, April 28 for approximately 30 days.
Fifth Avenue between Federal Street and Commerce Street and Fifth Avenue between Rayen Avenue and Arlington will be closed to through traffic for roadway work.
Local traffic will be permitted between Rayen Avenue south of Lincoln Avenue and from Arlington north of Lincoln.
This work is being done for the Smart Two Network Project.
The roadwork will reduce the multiple lanes on Fifth Avenue to one lane in each direction with a median while also increasing sidewalk areas.
Local detour signs will be posted.
