LEETONIA, Ohio - One person was taken to the hospital after an explosion at a home in Leetonia Tuesday. 

Crews were called out shortly before 1 p.m. on Tuesday to the house on State Route 558 for an explosion in the basement. 

So far, it's not clear what caused the explosion, only that it occurred in the basement of the house. 

The identity of the person who was injured, as well as the extent of their injuries, have still not been released.
