YOUNGSTOWN - A Youngstown man is going to prison for a three-week robbery spree targeting Youngstown area businesses.
A federal judge has sentenced Terron Jones to seventeen years in prison and ordered him to pay more than $1,200 restitution to five businesses he was accused of robbing last year.
Jones pleaded guilty earlier to charges of robbery, brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence, and interference with commerce.
According to a federal indictment Jones robbed the Rite Aid in East Midlothian on May 16, 2020; the Speedway on East Midlothian on May 22, 2020; the Check and Go on Wilson Ave. on May 23, 2020; the Circle K on Mahoning Ave. on May 29, 2020; and the Dollar Genera on Belmont Ave. on June 1, 2020.
