Campbell mom found passed out in car with toddlers

CAMPBELL, Ohio - A woman faces child endangering charges after police say they found her passed out in her car with her two toddlers at a Campbell intersection.
Officers were called to Sixth Street and Penhale Avenue Sunday morning where they say they found 25-year-old Lynsey Opatken slumped over the steering wheel of her car.
Also in the car were Opatken’s three-year-old son and 7-month-old daughter. According to the police report, the children were perspiring.
After an officer shook Opatken to wake her up, she admitted to taking the prescription opiate treatment Suboxone because she was upset over an incident in her personal life.
After an ambulance crew checked out the children to make sure they were okay, they were turned over to a relative.
Opatken, who was booked into the county jail, pleaded not guilty to child endangering and is now free on bond awaiting another court hearing scheduled for August.
