Weekend Mahoning Co. OVI checkpoint nets 3 arrests
Enforcement officers say they arrested three individuals for OVI, issued three summonses for driving under suspension, and issued three citations for not wearing a seatbelt.

MAHONING COUNTY, Ohio -
The Mahoning County OVI Task Force and the Ohio State Highway Patrol have released the results of the agency's latest sobriety checkpoint, this time netting three arrests.
The checkpoint was located at 4477 Mahoning Avenue in Austintown on Friday night.
According to the task force, 479 vehicles passed through the checkpoint.
There were 12 vehicles that were directed into a diversion area for further investigation.
Enforcement officers say they arrested three individuals for OVI, issued three summonses for driving under suspension, and issued three citations for not wearing a seatbelt.
The task force says by conducting these checkpoints they hope they will continue to deter drivers from driving under the influence.
