The American Red Cross say they need your help!
They are reporting a severe blood shortage due to an increase in demand for blood from hospitals as more people are getting surgical procedures as covid restrictions are being lifted.
They say over the last three months they've distributed 75,000 more blood products than their average.
The Red Cross says donating is easy.
"If you can think about patients in hospitals, those who are fighting cancers, children who are fighting leukemia and other disorders, those who need blood transfusions. It's a little pinch in order to save a life," said Christina Peters, American Red Cross.
The blood type in most demand is TYPE "O."
