Man shot, killed while on motorized scooter in Youngstown identified
Youngstown Police are investigating another homicide on the City's Southside that happened Thursday evening.
Police say they responded to the call of Christopher Cordero (34) who was shot in the 400 block of Almyra Avenue around 8:40 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers say they discovered Cordero lying on the street with a gunshot wound.
According to officers on the scene, Cordero was operating a motorized scooter carrying a female passenger when he was struck by gunfire.
Cordero was taken to Mercy Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The female passenger on the scooter did not suffer any injuries.
There are no suspects at this time.
