COLUMBIANA, Ohio - An Austintown man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Columbiana late Tuesday.

State Troopers say 46-year-old Michael Schneider died when the Chevy Tahoe he was driving ran a red light and was struck by a Chevy HHR at Routes 14 and 164 at around 10 p.m.

The Tahoe ran off the road striking a sign and rolling over onto its roof.

One of the five occupants was ejected from the Tahoe and two were partially ejected.

The Chevy HHR was driven by 20-year-old Gabriel Eugene Cusick of Leetonia, who along with four occupants of the Tahoe were taken to Mercy Health Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Cusick was wearing a seat belt. Schneider and his four passengers were not wearing their seatbelts, according to the patrol.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor in the crash.
