U.S. Marshals have arrested one of their five most wanted fugitives in the Valley.

Acting on a tip, Marshals on Thursday arrested 35-year-old Shawn Squires at a home in Niles.

Squires was wanted for a parole violation on previous convictions of aggravated robbery and obstructing official business.

In 2018, Squires was one of two men arrested following a burglary at the VFW in Weathersfield where nine ceremonial rifles and three safes were stolen.

In 2011, Squires was sentenced to six years in prison for several convenience Store robberies.

Marshals are still looking for four other fugitives named in a news release earlier this week.
