CORTLAND, Ohio - New information has been released regarding the threat made towards Lakeview Middle School Wednesday.

According to the report, a female student allegedly saw another student drawing guns in a notebook during art class that morning.

The student drawing guns was asked if they were still planning on doing it tomorrow and the student replied "yes" and referenced a lockdown from a couple of years ago.

Lakeview Middle School's principal said she had prevented the student from arriving with others and arranged to meet with them.

Officers went to the student's home around 1:30 a.m. and spoke with the student's father and looked at the notebook.

According to the report, the officer saw a drawing that resembled a military tank but found no further weapons in the notebook.

The student's father told police that they had been in trouble for flicking two students.

Officers told the principal about the situation and she met with them and other witnesses on Thursday morning.

After meeting with witnesses, the school's safety team found that no one actually heard a threat made.
