Brookfield police call on public to identify individual involved in Dollar General scam

BROOKFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Brookfield Township police are turning to the public to help identify a man (pictured above) involved in a scamming incident at a Dollar General Saturday, Sept. 25.
Police say the male suspect scammed a Brookfield Dollar General location on Warren-Sharon Rd. Saturday during the purchase of a gift card, getting over $500 from the store.
According to police, the man is believed to drive a dark grey sedan and has attempted the same scam on various other Dollar General locations in the area.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Brookfield Township Police Department between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at 330-448-6960 or call Trumbull County Dispatch any time at 330-675-2730.
Brookfield Township Police Department is also taking messages via their Facebook page. All tipsters have the option to remain anonymous.
