YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Youngstown Main Post Office is partnering with the Youngstown Police Department for dog training.

The Youngstown K9 unit will host a presentation for mail carriers at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Safety around dogs on the job is something that is an ongoing problem for carriers.

There were 369 dog attacks on Ohio mail carriers in 2020 and 378 in 2019.

Ohio was ranked third on the list of states with the most dog bites on carriers according to USPS statistics.
