U.S. Senate candidate, Morgan Harper has renewed her call on Congressman, Tim Ryan for a debate during a press conference Thursday morning.

Harper claims that she had challenged Ryan to a debate six times and was told by his campaign manager that they'd consider a debate in February of 2022.

However, Harper says Ohio doesn't "have that kind of time."

"We are in the fight of our lives every single day and we need to be talking to each other. We need to be mobilizing our communities all over the state. Rural, cities, smaller communities, bigger cities, everywhere with a vision for what we are collectively going to be about: an Ohio of the future," Harper said.

Harper entered the race for the U.S. Senate in August of 2021 and is currently competing with Ryan for the seat held by Senator, Rob Portman who is not seeking reelection
