Mercy Health Youngstown opens COVID-19 vaccine clinics

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Mercy Health Youngstown has opening two new COVID-19 vaccination clinics in order to increase access to vaccines for the community.
The two clinics will be located in Youngstown and Howland respectively with one offering Pfizer doses and the other offering Moderna.
The Pfizer clinic will be located at Mercy Health Wick Primary Care at Youngstown State University (330, Wick Ave. Youngstown) and the Moderna clinic will be located at Mercy Health Howland Medical Center (1932, Niles Cortland Rd. SE, Warren).
The Pfizer vaccine is currently approved for individuals aged five years old and over, and Moderna is currently approved for those aged 18 and over.
Both clinics will be open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Each site will offer both primary doses, as well as booster doses.
The CDC recommends booster doses for those 65 and over or those 18 and over with underlying health conditions or living or working in an environment that increases risk of infection who completed their primary series at least six months ago.
