U.S. Marshals are thanking the public after the federal agency found a missing 16-year-old girl almost one month after she ran away from home.

Angel Grose-Bloire disappeared from her Perry Township, Portage County home on January 15. Marshals and the Perry Township Police Department said they discovered her late Tuesday night outside of Wyndham, Ohio. Both services did not provide information on her condition.

Marshals said the public played a critical role in discovering Grose-Bloire. They originally asked for anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts to provide tips towards their investigation.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott praised the efforts of the Perry Twp. Police Department whom he said took the case seriously from the start. He also applauded the Portage County Sheriff's Office, the Deputy U.S. Marshals, and the concerned citizens whose information led to the recovery.

"Cooperation between law enforcement, the media, and the public is key in the recovery of many missing children," Marshall Elliot said. "This is a prime example and likely prevented a tragic outcome."

Anyone with information on a missing or endangered juvenile is asked to call the U.S. Marshals at 1-866-492-6833. Callers can remain anonymous. Additional information is available through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at missingkids.org.
