Vintage t-shirt company donates nearly $12k to Akron Children's

A local clothing company, popular for their sweet treat t-shirts, gave back to Akron Children's Hospital in a big way on Wednesday.
New Dawn Design is a clothing company that started during the pandemic and has worked to secure the rights to popular candy and other Youngstown Brands.
The Sweet Memories t-shirt line that they released raised nearly $12,000 for the hospital in 2021 alone. Their total contribution was $11,907.73.
Linda Barton, who founded the company and line said the charitable contribution simply made sense.
I decided to launch this clothing line that benefits Akron Children's Hospital, I figured ice cream and sweets go together," said Barton. "Originally I just started with the good humor line and when pop-sicle found out we were giving back to the community and the hospital they said we want in."
New Dawn Design also produces Army and Packard Car designs whose proceeds give back to the military and benefit the mental health of those who serve.
