State Troopers seize $80K worth of heroin during traffic stop in Madison Co.

MADISON COUNTY, Ohio - Two men from California are facing felony drug charges after allegedly bringing $80,000 worth of heroin to Ohio.
According to the release, Ohio State Troopers stopped a 2015 Nissan Altima with California registration for speeding on Interstate 70 in Madison County around 12:10 a.m. Thursday.
A K9 officer indicated that drugs could be in the vehicle, causing troopers to search the car.
During the search, 4.4 pounds of heroin was found in the car's center console.
State Troopers arrested 56-year-old Jose Romero of Bell, California and 20-year-old Brandon Bautista of Los Angeles were taken to the Tri-County Jail and charged with a felony count of possession of drugs.
The two men could face up to 11 years in prison and up to a $20,000 fine.
