The Western Reserve Transit Authority has announced that it is easing another of the COVID-19 restrictions put in place on its buses during the height of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to a media release from the WRTA, as of this coming Monday, the system will once again allow passengers to board its big buses through the front doors.

Riders boarding fixed route buses have been required to board from only the rear doors since 2020, due to social distancing requirements.

WRTA eliminated its limited seating policy last June.

Riders are still required to wear face masks on all WRTA buses.

The U.S. Transportation Safety Agency said that the face mask policy for public transportation has been extended through March 18, 2022.
