WARREN, Ohio - Trumbull County Prosecutor, Dennis Watkins has expressed opposition for the parole of a Trumbull County man who was charged with Disseminating Matter Harmful to Juveniles.

Sixty-year-old Randall Whitmore was incarcerated in 1988 with charges of Disseminating Matter Harmful to Juveniles, Gross Sexual Imposition and Rape.

In a letter to the Ohio Adult Parole Authority, Watkins cites two Chief Child Assault Prosecutors who stated that Whitmore's conduct was "some of the most despicable I've ever encountered" and that "no child is safe around him."

Watkins goes on to state that Whitmore had received six life rape convictions in relation to sexual crimes against multiple children between five and 10 years old.

Watkins also referenced a testimony of one of Whitmore's victims who described her encounter with him as "the worst 25 minutes of my life."

Watkins closed the letter by stating that some of Whitmore's victims are available to provide evidence to the Board should a full Board meeting be required.

The victims say that if Whitmore is released on parole, he will commit further predatory acts against juveniles.

Whitmore is scheduled for a parole hearing in March of 2022.
