WARREN, Ohio - The Youngstown Phantoms have partnered with the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office to host a benefit for Major Tony Villanueva and his family.

Villanueva lost his wife, Lindsey, on November 21, 2021. She suffered a brain aneurysm a few days before.

Major Tony Villanueva is a member of the Trumbull Action Group Drug Task Force and is a father of five.

Villanueva shared this message on Facebook following his wife's passing:

My heart is broken. Heaven gained the most beautiful angel today. I’m lost without you. I will always love you and I will never let you or our babies down. You are amazing and you put up one hell of a fight. Rest In Peace, I’ll take it from here.

The team will hit the ice on March 12th at 7 p.m. If you buy tickets for the game and use the code VILLANUEVA during the purchase, $5 of every ticket will be donated to the Villanueva family.

The group is also selling #LiveLikeLindsey t-shirts and is planning on wearing them to the game.

Lindsey Villanueva worked as a preschool teacher at The Learning Tree in McDonald and was passionate about raising donations for her annual coat drive for children in need.

Family and friends described Lindsey as always having a smile on her face and a sparkle in her eye.

You can donate to the family's GoFundMe here.
