Belle Zirzow & Anthony Massucci named Trumbull County Players of the Year

The Trumbull County Coaches Association held its Player of the Year Banquet from Leo's in Warren, in-person for the first time in three years. A pair of standout local athletes took home the honors.
Bristol's Belle Zirzow and Howland's Anthony Massucci have been named the Trumbull County Players of the year.
It's been quite the memorable season already for Zirzow, who became Bristol's all-time leading scorer this season. She entered her senior season with over 1,000 points scored already.
She was a big reason why the Panthers captured the NAC title and owned the top seed in the Grand Velley district of DIV. IV.
Howland's Anthony Massucci took home the boys Player of the Year trophy after another outstanding season for the Tigers.
Massucci was recently named to the All American Conference First Team and led Howland to the DIV. II District Finals for the first time since 2004.
He averaged 20 points, 9.6 rebounds, four assists and and 2.6 steals per game as a team captain in his senior season.
The event's speaker was Kent State Women's basketball Head Coach Todd Starkey. 21 Sports Director Dana Balash announced the Trumbull County nominees while Tribune Sports Editor Greg Macafee announced the winners.
Rev. John-Michael Lavelle, Pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish gave the Benediction prior to the event coming to a close.
Congratulations, Belle and Anthony.
