Twin brothers found shot to death in a home on Powers Way have been identified.

The Mahoning County Coroner's Office has identified the two brothers as John and Michael Trolio.

Youngstown Police say the brothers were found shot to death at a home in the 3300 block of Powers Way.

Officers arrived on the scene just before 11 a.m. at the home on Powers way near Belden Avenue.

Police say the initial investigation revealed that a family member came to check on the residence and discovered that the 40-year-old twins had been shot.

The brothers were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Youngstown Police Department Detective Bureau, Crime Scene Unit, and Mahoning County Coroner's Office are currently investigating this case as a double homicide.

Crime lab officers recovered several spent shell casings from the home.

Autopsies will be conducted by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office. The incident remains under investigation by Youngstown Police.
