VIDEO: Suspect flees on foot after 80 mph chase on SR 224

Police are still searching for a man who took off on foot in Boardman after leading State Troopers on a chase in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Recently released dash camera video shows the pursuit began as an attempted traffic stop along Route 224 near Southern Boulevard in Boardman.
State Troopers say the vehicle was a stolen 2017 Chevrolet Cruze that has been observed driving erratically and committing a signal and lane violation.
The suspect fled eastbound on SR 224, before heading southbound on Interstate 680.
The chase continued at speeds around 90 miles per hour while on I-680. The driver then attempted to drive in the wrong direction on I-680 before hitting a Highway Patrol cruiser.
After the collision, the driver went through the grass median and drove northbound on I-680 before getting back onto Route 224 where speeds continued to reach 80 miles per hour.
At one point in the chase troopers can be heard saying, "it looks like he's dropping stuff out of the window."
The chase continued into a parking lot off of Route 224 near Hitchcock Road where the suspect came to a dead end and ran into some bushes. He then got out of the car. The suspect can be seen on dash camera video hoping over the hood of the trooper's cruiser and running away on foot.
Boardman Police and State Troopers set up a perimeter after losing sight of the suspect. An air unit from the State Highway Patrol and canine units from Salem and Youngstown also searched for the suspect but were unable to locate him.
