After a rocky start, Jason Kokrak settled down and shot 2 under 70 in the first round of the Masters at August National.

Starting in cloudy conditions, Kokrak bogeyed the first hole and then came right back with a birdie on the par 4 second.

He played even par until the par 4, seventh hole and carded  a bogey and was at +1.  On the par 4, ninth he birdied and finished the front nine even par.

Kokrak, who finished 49th at last years Masters and missed the cut in his first appearance didn't seem rattled.

With the sun shining in the afternoon, Kokrak got to serious work. He parred  the 11th hole, and birdied the next three holes,  12, 13 and 14 and stood at -2.

He concluded the round with four straight pars.
