Target offering car seat trade-in program
Now is a good time to check your child's car seat. Twice a year, Target let's you bring in an old, expired, or damaged car seat and in exchange, you can receive a 20% off coupon for another car seat, stroller, or other baby gear.

Now is a good time to check your child's car seat.
Twice a year, Target let's you bring in an old, expired, or damaged car seat and in exchange, you can receive a 20% off coupon for another car seat, stroller, or other baby gear.
Target partners with Waste management to recycle the material from the used car seats. According to Target.com, the trade-in program started in 2016. Since then, more than 1.7 million car seats have been recycled.
The program runs between Monday, April 18, 2022 - Saturday, April 30, 2022.?
Target will have drop-off boxes for the unwanted car seats located near Guest Services.

According to HealthyChildren.org and the American Academy of Pediatrics
- Do not use a used car seat if you do not know the history of the seat.
- Do not use a car seat that has been in a crash, has been recalled, is too old (check the expiration date or use 6 years from date of manufacture if there is no expiration date), has any cracks in its frame, or is missing parts.
- You can find out of your car seat has been recalled by calling the manufacturer or the National Highway traffic Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236.
