YSU Summer Festival of the Arts set for July at Wean Park

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - One of the biggest art festivals in the Mahoning Valley will make its return in July.
The 24th annual Summer Festival of the Arts will be held on July 9th and 10th at Wean Park in downtown Youngstown.
The festival is put on by Youngstown State University and JAC Management Group.
More than 70 local, regional and national artists will sell original pieces like jewelry, paintings, sketches, sculptures and other work.
Family activities are central to the event. An art tent for children, music, theater and dance performances are all planned for the festival.
"We are returning to Wean Park with renewed enthusiasm that the Summer Festival of the Arts is continuing into its 24th year, helping to promote the Valley's vibrant arts and culture scene. It's exciting to be back in this venue for the second year," said Lori A. Factor, Director of Community Engagement & Events for the Cliffe College.
Hours for July 9th are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the hours for July 10th are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
