LIBERTY TWP, Ohio - Crews from four Trumbull County fire departments battled flames and high temperatures overnight in Liberty.

An abandoned home was heavily damaged after catching fire on Liberty Avenue just after 1 a.m. Thursday.

Firefighters say they faced the added threat of dealing with warm weather.

A firefighter on scene told us -they must make sure everyone keeps hydrated and that they have enough staff to provide breaks to prevent heat illnesses.

Firefighters from Liberty, Coitsville, Hubbard, and Girard were there.

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the fire.
