Canfield's Plant Ohio Gatorade Track & Field athlete of the year

The track standout set numerous records in his career.

CANFIELD, Ohio - Canfield's Nick Plant is the Ohio Gatorade Track and Field Athlete.

The senior broke the meet record while winning the Division I state championship in the 800 meter run in a time of 1:48:65. He also broke the overall state record with his second place clocking of 1:48:52 in the Brooks PR Invitational.

Plant has maintained his A average in the classroom and signed a national letter of intent with Virginia Tech.
